Location

Autoinflammation 2010 wil be held at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam. Built in 1926, the imposing, unique KIT building has a large and small conference hall and theatre, a magnificent reception area and seven atmospheric meeting rooms in various sizes. Next to the conference center, the KIT features a library, the Tropenmuseum and -shop, museum restaurant Ekeko and Cafe-Restaurant Souterijn.
Amsterdam has excellent connections: Airport Amsterdam Schiphol (international destinations) can be reached within 40 minutes by public transport and approximately 30 minutes by car/taxi. Moreover Amsterdam is well linked to both train and motorway networks.

Climate

Holland has a maritime climate. September usually has a few weeks of fine late-summer weather; temperatures average about 15 – 20 Celsius. To prepare for Holland's unpredictable weather, invest in a fold-up umbrella and hope you never have to use it; likewise, carry a raincoat, pack a sweater or two (even in September), and be prepared to layer your clothing.

Accreditation

The European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) has granted the congress with 21 European CME credits (ECMEC). This accreditation will be endorsed by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) ensuring that the CME credits awarded to the participants are recognized by the national medical authorities who have agreed to co-operate in this European system. EACCME credits are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA).
The Nederlandse Internisten Vereniging (NIV) has granted the congress with 24 credit points.
The Nederlandse Vereniging voor Reumatologie (NVR) has granted the congress with 15 credit points.

Certificates of attendance will be available for all participants at the registration desk.

 

Congress language

The official Congress language will be English. No simultaneous translation will be available

 

Letter of invitation

Applications for a letter of invitation should be received by the Congress Secretariat no later than 1 July 2010. Letters of invitation will only be sent by mail. It should be understood that this letter is only to help delegates to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support.

Applications received after 1 July 2010 will not be dealt with.
Refunds cannot be made in case of not granted visa applications.

 

Exhibition

A targeted group of pharmaceutical and medical companies will be invited to expose their products and services.

 

Insurance

In registering for Autoinflammation 2010, delegates agree that neither the organisation nor the congress agency Congress Care is responsible for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Delegates are requested to make their own travel and health insurance. The organisers cannot assume liability for changes in the programme due to external circumstances.
